The House of Dior: Seventy Years of Haute Couture

 

Celebrating the seventieth anniversary of the House of Dior, the National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne is exhibiting a display of the rich history of the fashion house through a series of themes, featuring the work of the seven designers who played a hey role from 1947-2017 which have shaped the House: Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Gianfranco Ferré, John Galliano, Raf Simons and present designer Maria Grazia Chiuri.

SJ has been the Milliner st the House of Dior for 21 years, and his millinery collaborative creations with John Galliano, Raf Simons and Maria Grazia Chiuri are exhibited throughout the exhibition.

SJ also created pieces for the exhibition from calico hats featured in the ‘Early Years’ showing Monsieur Dior’s early influences, to white perspex tiaras fastened with Swarovski crystals to be crowned in the finale of the exhibition ‘Magnificent Dior.’
